Thank you all very much for attending Parents Evening on Monday and Tuesday evening. It was so lovely to share your child's progress with you.
We can't believe we are at the end of our first term as Y Garth. We have had a wonderful term where the children have learned so much and have made huge progress in their learning. It has been lovely to watch their little characters develop too. We would like to wish you all a very happy Easter and we hope you enjoy the holidays. World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), 21 March, is a global awareness day that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012.
The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
On this one day we have a chance to make a change. A better chance than any other day!

Scholastic Book Fair
The Book Fair has arrived in school today. All the children have had an opportunity to see what books are available and have chosen one book for their wish list. The name of the book and price will be sent home on a post-it note this evening. If you would like to purchase this book, please send the money in between Monday and Thursday next week, in a sealed envelope. This is based on a first come first served basis, so if the book your child has chosen for their wish list has sold out, please let us know whether you are happy for your child to purchase a different book instead.

World Book Day 2024
A special message from Curriculum Committee :
This year we will be celebrating World Book Day on Wednesday 6th March. The theme is 'Reading is my super power'. We would like you to dress up as your hero. Here are some suggestions of what this could be:
Cooking - Cawl
As part of our instructional writing and linking with our St David's Day Eisteddfod, we are going to be preparing, cooking, and eating a Welsh cawl in class. We will be using the following ingredients:
Leeks
Carrots
Swede
Potatoes
Onions
Kallo low salt, gluten, and lactose-free stock cube.
If your child is allergic to any of these ingredients, please let a staff member know at the gate/door today or tomorrow, so we can look for alternatives on the weekend.
Many thanks
